Steve Cope

Position: Managing Director.

Experience: Steve is a second Generation Pest Business owner, the name “Cope” being synonymous with quality and trust in the industry for over 40 years. Starting out with his Mum (Kim) and Dad (Eric), as a Boy in nappies in the days of Organochlorines (the really dangerous stuff), Steve followed in his Old mans footprints and expanded the “Copes” name to be one of the most recognized Brands in the industry.

Background: A “Shire Boy” born and bred, Steve has strong ties with his local community, an active member of Christian Surfers, he is loyal to his roots and sets a shining example for his four sons.

Likes: Good times with family and friends, Surfing, Good food and wine and the poor old Cronulla Sharkies.

Dislikes: Red-headed Prime minister, Bald headed environment minister, The N.B.N, Carbon Tax and too much rainy weather!

Glenda Arnold

Experience: Too much, been around a while, She was on “Sale of the century” twice, when it was “Sale of the decade”!

Background: A direct Descendent from a First Fleet convict and the Ships surgeon (guess which one she takes after) Glenda and her husband of 36 years are as much a part of the Sutherland Shire as Beautiful Beaches and the Royal National Park.

Likes: Travelling, reading, motorsports (Schumacher Fan), Good wine, Champagne and lazy days on her boat.

Dislikes: Housework, especially ironing, Cheap wine and Red-Bull.

Mick Carbone

Experience: 16 years chasing bugs from Townsville to Canberra. Trained by Steve Cope himself back when he was a skinny, blonde smart-alec, Mick has climbed from trainee to manager under Steve’s coaching.

Background: Growing up in the tiny country town of Long Flat, Mick watched too much “Harry Butler in the Wild”, saw an article in the paper about Funnel-web spiders and set about catching them so the people in Sydney could Milk-em. Now he spends too much time making sure his own two wild boys don’t catch the worlds Deadliest Spiders with a stick and a Jam-jar.

Likes: Family, travel, reading, music and adrenaline sports.

Dislikes: The internet, mobile phones, Lady Ga-Ga, Traffic, Pseudo-communist welfare state supporting governments and celery.

Jan Martin

AKA: Janma

Experience: Admin. Sales & marketing and spoiling grand-kids.

Background: Born in Nowra, grew up in Wollongong then found her Prince Charming in Sydney and raised her family in the Sutherland Shire.

Likes: Time with family and friends, Golf, travelling, walking(with Prince Charming), and spoiling her beautiful grand-children.

Dislikes: Housework and “empty” bottles of wine.

Evelyn Chatfield

AKA: Your Highness (she does the wages)

Pedigree: Rumoured to have Malaysian Royalty in her bloodlines.

Experience: 30+ years counting other peoples money and still enjoys the challenge of a well messed month end.

Background: Malaysian born, Evelyn came to Australia via New Zealand some 30 years ago to settle and raise a beautiful and highly intelligent daughter.

Likes: Lazy weekends with the phone off.

Dislikes: Cockroaches, go figure.

Barry Stonefield

AKA: Baz

Experience: 30 years in the industry, constantly updating his techniques and approaches in a changing world. Baz has seen products and businesses come and go, what has not changed is the need to be thorough.

Andrew Copp

AKA: Muttlie
Experience: Affectionately known as Muttlie, for his Dogged determination to solve problems and get things done. If this guy is on your job, you know it will be done, up to a high standard, not down to a price-tag.
Background: From Wauchope, The Timber-town, on the Mid-north-coast. A country boy at heart, Mutts has been in the Big-smoke for long enough to find a wife and become “Dad” to two little girls.
Likes: Rugby League, Oz-tag, Ball-room dancing, Golf, Golf, and Golf.
Dislikes: Communist governments, Dora the explorer, Low-fat Yoghurt and Pilate’s.

Nathan Barnes

AKA: Cuz

Experience: Cert III Termite Technician.

Background: Born in Malaysia, raised in Richmond, Cuz became a Professional footballer at 17 and played over 150 games in the NRL. After retirement he tried his hand at a few different things before finding a home at KOPC. A Father of two, our former Rugby-league Star is a valued asset in our team.

Likes: Cricket, Muay-Thai, indoor rock-climbing, Pizza and Long-necks.

Dislikes: Political conversations, syncronised swimming, mushrooms and sock-puppets.

Brian Oliver

AKA: Chopper, Dodgy All-Blacks supporter.

Experience: Relatively new to the industry, Brian represents our philosophy of finding the right person and teaching them the skills, a committed family man, honest and hard-working. The type of person you would like looking after your asset.

Background: Hailing from the land of the long white cloud, “Chopper”, has made Sydney his home for over a decade, his two sons have seen the light and follow the mighty Wallabies. Previously in Transport and warehousing, you’ll wonder where he got his communication skills.

Likes: Warm weather, cold beer, boxing and rugby-union.

Dislikes: Sheep jokes, pink t-shirts, golf and clairvoyants.

Andrew Garland

AKA: Pup

Position: Technical, Trainee.

Experience: A valued member of the team still under training. A qualified carpenter, Drew came to us with a sound knowledge of construction principles giving him a head-start on the field.

Background: Too young to have much of a background, Drew is a happy newlywed with strong ties to his Church and community, volunteering his time and knowledge when he is available.

Likes: Sleeping in, youth leadership, music, Jet Skiing, camping and The Mighty St George Dragons.

Dislikes: Vegetables.
